Here's the exact day when I bought my first cheap set of tools and started my DIY journey.
September 19, 2020 — the day that I decided to go for it, even though I had no idea WTF I was doing.
My friends & fam all thought I was crazy...
$200 for 6 power tools later and the rest is history.
My DIY journey really began the moment I bought a fixer upper and could not afford to pay a contractor to fix it up.
After my 1st Project, I hit this really Pivotal moment where I felt I could tackle anything...
and so I did.
This was the exact moment it all changed for me. When I started owning my own story...
From the confidence I gained from that first project in renovating my laundry room, I would slowly increase the complexity of my projects as I got more and more comfortable in my DIY skills.
A few weeks later, I gave my kitchen a complete makeover by painting my kitchen cabinets and tiling my backsplash. Then, I taught myself plumbing in order to completely renovate our half bathroom. From there, I gutted our entire primary bathroom down to the studs and completely renovated everything myself (which saved us $15,000). Then, I even built an entire office by myself in my unfinished basement from the ground up (framing, electrical, drywall, flooring, etc.).
All self-taught. All on my own.
And now I'm going to help you learn to tackle projects in your home too.
